OneGroup Advisors Strengthen Private Client Expertise with CPRIA Certification

Protecting the property, assets and lifestyle of successful individuals and families requires more than a standard approach to personal insurance.

It requires specialized knowledge of the complex risks that can accompany significant homes, valuable collections, multiple properties, watercraft and other unique assets.

OneGroup is proud to recognize Deborah Rufo, David Weaver and Jesse Caiazza for earning the Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor, or CPRIA, designation.

The CPRIA certification was developed specifically for professionals serving affluent and high-net-worth clients. Offered by the Private Risk Management Association, the program helps participants deepen their technical knowledge, strengthen their recommendations and better understand the complex insurance needs of successful individuals and families. As a corporate member of PRMA, OneGroup is committed to staying connected to the education, insight and best practices that support this specialized area of personal risk management.

What Is the CPRIA Designation?

The Chartered Private Risk and Insurance Advisor certification is a specialized professional development program focused on the high-net-worth insurance market. The program helps advisors better understand the unique exposures that can come with significant homes, valuable collections, domestic employees, recreational vehicles, watercraft, excess liability needs and other complex personal assets.

Through practical scenarios and private risk management education, advisors learn how to ask more informed questions, identify potential coverage gaps and recommend insurance strategies that better reflect each client’s lifestyle, assets and risk profile. This insight helps clients feel more confident that their insurance program is being reviewed with the full picture in mind.

The program is endorsed by the Tobin Center for Executive Education at St. John’s University in conjunction with the university’s School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science.

What This Means for OneGroup Private Clients

No two private clients have the same assets, priorities or risk exposures. Homes in multiple locations, domestic employees, valuable collections, recreational vehicles, watercraft and evolving family circumstances can create considerations that may not be fully addressed through conventional personal insurance policies.

Earning the CPRIA designation strengthens our advisors’ ability to recognize these complexities, ask more informed questions and develop insurance strategies around each client’s individual circumstances. The program emphasizes real-world scenarios, emerging industry trends and the changing needs of high-net-worth clients.

For OneGroup clients, this additional expertise supports:

  • A more comprehensive understanding of personal risk exposures
  • Thoughtful evaluation of insurance coverage and potential gaps
  • Recommendations informed by specialized private risk education
  • Coordination across homes, vehicles, collections and other significant assets
  • Ongoing guidance as assets, circumstances and insurance markets change

An Ongoing Commitment to Specialized Guidance

The CPRIA designations earned by Deborah Rufo, David Weaver and Jesse Caiazza reflect OneGroup’s continued investment in specialized expertise. Their achievement strengthens our ability to provide informed, personal guidance to individuals and families with complex insurance needs.

At OneGroup, protecting what matters most begins with understanding the full picture. Our Private Client advisors work closely with clients to identify risks, evaluate coverage and develop a coordinated insurance strategy designed around their lives and assets.
